Longwave – The Strangest Things

“The Strangest Things”

Longwave was being lumped in with The Strokes and Kings of Leon by RCA records, hailing this crop as the saviors of Rock and Roll.  While they all play a form of Rock music, the similarities between these bands is loose at best (The Strokes sharing NYC as their launching point with Longwave).  The indie and shoegaze elements on this LP separate Longwave from the other RCA bands, and make this album delightful and less “in your face”.
