It’s no surprise, if you’ve listened to Omar’s music long enough, that there was bound to be an album in this series to feature more of a “Middle Eastern” vibe. This album is dripping with those sounds and it is pretty cool, calm, relaxing, and a breath of fresh air. However, I still cannot get fully into Teri Gender Bender’s voice and lyrics. Any momentum that builds seems to be demolished or sidetracked by any vocals added on top of this music.
