the i.l.y’s – i’ve always been good at true love

the i.l.y’s

“i’ve always been good at true love

Less like “Death Grips minus MC Ride” and more like “Zach Hill solo project”.  The lyrics are eclectic and somewhat non-sensible, but the music is excellent.  Some people labeled this “art punk” and “garage rock”, but I think it’s more of a progressive indie pop-rock sound.  Give the album a spin, it’s less than 30 minutes.

Grade: B-

Favorite Track: Bubble Letters

Second Favorite: The Sickest Fuck of Them All
