Most rap collectives are short-lived and have egos that eventually hammer the nail into the coffin; not so with Doomtree. While some members are starting to gain national fame for their solo material, they are still not above the group, and it shows on this fantastic album. Every member has a definite strength, which they layer over each other in a way that makes their group unstoppable. This is no “phone in your part” album, either, it is a true group effort.
