Bought out of nothing more than curiosity and cheap price, the sticker on the front says it all: “Nordic folk metal comeback of the year!” Indeed, it is (minus the comeback part, since I never knew they were “away”). Living in an area that is Scandinavian-heavy in its ancestry, my curiosity for their culture has always been on the back-burner. I know that the Scandinavian culture has a rather large presence in metal, so why not blend it with “folk sounds” (acoustic guitars, wind instruments like flutes)?!
Favorite Track: Döpt i en jökelsjö (Baptized in a Glacier Lake)
